IFLA Brings Energy & Excitement to the GCCC

The 82nd IFLA World Library and Information Congress was recently held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC). The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) World Library and Congress brings together over 3,500 participants from more than 120 countries.

The event is an opportunity for the host country to showcase the status of libraries and information science in their country and region - as well as to have their professionals experience international librarianship and international relations in a unique way.
The opening session set the stage for the multi-day conference with energy and excitement by featuring aerialist, acrobatics and music. Markey’s brought lots of color to the stage with our Martin MAC Quantum Wash and MAC Aura lighting.
Markey’s provided three of our biggest, brightest projectors (Barco 20K Lumen) and screens to ensure the entire audience could see and take part in the excitement.
In addition to providing all the event technology for the opening session which is highlighted above, Markey’s provided more than 100 laptop computers with exacting images for delegates to use within the 20 offices that were set up around the convention center.
