On October 21, 2011, Brian Solomon, Director of Convention Services for Markey's Rental & Staging, was awarded an Honorary FFA Degree, which is reserved for adults who have made significant contributions to FFA. Brian was honored because of his work providing audiovisual services and staging for FFA's annual convention, held at the Indianapolis Convention Center each year for over 55,000 members and guests. Additional audiovisual support was provided at the State Fair Grounds and at Crowne Plaza Hotel.
This year was the 84th National Convention, and each year, members participate in general sessions, competitive events, educational tours, leadership workshops, a career show and expo, volunteer activities and much more. It is one of the largest annual student conventions in the country.
