Markey's Sets the Stage for GOP Candidates, Media Personnel for Campaigns and Caucus

As GOP candidates prepare for the January 3, 2012 Iowa Caucus, the Des Moines office of Markey's Rental & Staging, an audiovisual provider, is providing the means to get their message out to the people of Iowa.

Markey's currently has two teams traveling the state on Newt Gingrich’s 99-County Tour, setting up various gear specific to each unique venue.  This can range from a small sound system to stage sections, press risers, lighting, and more.  Markey's will also provide AV support for Gingrich's Caucus Night Rally at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center.  Markey's has also provided equipment for Ron Paul’s campaign.  Fox News Network has utilized Markey's audiovisual gear for several locations in Des Moines, including their [Caucus] headquarters at the State Capital Building.  Markey's will supply the lighting for the Democratic National Committee’s Spin Room.  Markey's is also providing TV monitors for many of the candidate’s War Rooms.

On a larger scale, Markey's in-house staff from the Iowa Event Center is handling the Media Filing Center at the Polk County Convention Complex, providing a TV Studio Backdrop for live recordings from the Caucus.  The Media Filing Center is hosting 150-200 various media outlets from all over the world.  Traditional television, radio and print media, along with blogs, podcasts, and social media are represented, totaling over 1,000 media personnel.  The audiovisual equipment set up began December 21, and it will run through January 4, 2012.  Markey's is proving an on-site technician to manage the equipment.

Markey's Rental & Staging is a national audiovisual and staging company headquartered in Indianapolis, IN for over 50 years, with locations throughout the Midwest and in Central Florida.  The Des Moines office has been serving the city and surrounding areas since the 1990's, and is the preferred audiovisual in-house provider for the Iowa Event Center.
