Markey's Rental & Staging was chosen to provide the audiovisual and staging support for the Inaugural events for incoming Indiana Governor Mike Pence and Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann.
The festivities began January 12th, 2013 with the Pence-Ellspermann Inaugural Ball Dinner and Dance at the JW Marriott Indianapolis, where Markey's is the in-house audiovisual provider. Our team designed the elegant but understated stage set, and two high definition camera feeds were projected onto I-Mag screens ensuring that none of the 1800 guests would miss any part of the evening.
The next morning, January 13th, the Inaugural Praise and Worship Service took place at the Indiana Convention Center and featured five choirs and four different musical groups. The stage set included 8' truss with 15' x 20' screens for I-Mag. VerTec line arrays provided the audience with clean, clear sound throughout Halls F and G. Markey's is a preferred audiovisual vendor at the Indiana Convention Center.
Monday, January 14th Mike Pence hosted a breakfast for all his volunteers at the Crowne Plaza Union Station, where Markey's is also the in-house provider. Microphone, lectern and speakers were provided for the Governor to thank all assembled.
Later that morning, Mike Pence was sworn in as Indiana's 50th Governor, and Sue Ellspermann was sworn in as Lt. Governor on the front steps of the Statehouse. The brisk 14-degree temperatures did not dissuade thousands from attending. Markey's provided four 90-degree speakers on stands so that all could hear the proceedings. Markey's also provided a Mackie 350 speaker for the podium monitor, and two Shure SM57 microphones mounted Presidential style on the podium.
Markey's is proud to be a strong part of our community, participating in events of this level that are so important to our state.
