Markey's Performs Transformation for Annual Fundraiser ShamrAuction

On February 23rd 2013, Markey's Rental & Staging helped transform the gyms and hallways for Cathedral High School's 36th Annual  ShamrAuction, themed "Back to the 80’s."  This function was a great example of Markey's working cooperatively with other vendors, in this case Annie-O's Events and A Classic Party Rental,  to make the event successful. While each company had separate responsibilities, the event depended on their ability to communicate well with each other, which is a Markey's hallmark.

The hallway leading into the silent auction in the auxiliary gym was completely draped on the sides, with Martin Stagebars uplighting the drape in various colors for the MTV theme. The stairs leading to the main gym served as the risers for the choir, which was well lit with Coemar LED par lights mounted on upright truss.

In the main gym, which was entirely draped and set for dinner for 750 people, Markey's provided sound support for the band, Xanadu; lighting for the stage; and two 10.5' x 14' screens flanking the stage.  Christie SD8K projectors were used to show a looping clip of the dance-off from the movie "Footloose" as guests entered, then a PowerPoint of auction items available.  The screens also displayed the "Fund a Need" thermometer periodically, tracking the donations coming in via QTEGO auction systems.
