Markey's Nominates Ray Gonzales for Visit Indy ROSE Award

Markey’s nominated employee-owner Ray Gonzales for a Visit Indy ROSE Award, one of the premier service awards in the hospitality industry in Indianapolis, Indiana.  ROSE is Recognition Of  Service Excellence, and Ray epitomizes the very essence of this, showing service excellence every day and under every circumstance, and he elevates all those who work with him, making them worthy of praise and recognition themselves.

Ray is an audiovisual technician on the Markey’s staff at the JW Marriott Indianapolis, which means not only is he immersed in Markey’s customer-oriented culture, but he also needs to meet the high service standards of the JW Marriott brand.  As a matter of fact, our staff at the JW Marriott Indianapolis received the second highest Event Satisfaction Survey scores of all Marriott properties in the nation in 2014.  Ray Gonzales played a major part in this honor, because he is the shining star of an extraordinary audiovisual services team.  He leads by example and encourages those around him.  He deserves a ROSE Award not just for himself but because he raises those around him to greater heights - the utmost level of service a person can achieve.

Ray’s manager, Director of Operations Jeffrey Vereb, said “Ray is a joy to work with, in that he truly cares about the needs and wants of his clients.  People have remarked that when they meet him, they feel immediately comfortable.”

Guests of the JW Marriott Indianapolis receive Gold Coins that they can give to anyone in the hotel who demonstrates great customer service, and Ray earns more Gold Coins than all others on Markey’s staff.   Guests remark that he is kind, knowledgeable and helpful, and always makes their event run more smoothly.
